It is a story of travelling and friendship which lasts for the past 12 years… The story starts with the unlikely encounter between an Australian, a Danish and a French girl in the middle of the African bush. The kind of relationship bound to fail, if only because of distance and cultural difference…

In 2004, we spend three weeks in the craziest safari ever, between Botswana and Zimbabwe, sharing the same tent, fighting the same fears, laughing at the same jokes, singing the same song « We drifters, we drifters, we’re so far from home… », spotting the same lions, rhinos, hippos, elephants and sharing the same motto «  Hakuna Matata ».

A year later, we met in London and nostalgia guided us to the famous musical « The Lion King». What else…

Soon after, the Namib desert became our new challenge, with the same passion and new delirious adventures.

Since then, we organized several brief encounters in Copenhagen, Switzerland or Milano, with always the same feeling that we met the day before… As if time had stopped. Year after year, each time we meet, we instantly become again the three crazy drifters girls from Botswana…

This time, we were missing you Jo!

Don’t change girls, and continue living your life the exact way you want it to be… There will be many more surprises, but the one thing I am sure of is that there will be more travelling together, being in Africa, in Australia or wherever life will lead us…
